Chuthakieo’s appointment follows that of Sameen Singh, who was named Chief Strategy Officer & Chief Digital Officer in December 2022.

88Rising is celebrating the fifth year of its flagship Head In The Clouds Music and Arts Festival in Los Angeles, California. The festival made its debut in New York City and Guangzhou, China, following expansions to Manila, Philippines, and Jakarta, Indonesia in the preceding year.

88Rising says its diverse artist roster, particularly in North America, has garnered support from their global fan base. Joji’s Glimpse of Us surged to No.8 on Billboard’s Hot 100, while his album SMITHEREENS debuted at No.5 on the Billboard 200. His North American tour sold out quickly, including a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden and Kia Forum.

The company claims to hold the distinction of being the first entity to introduce an all-Asian radio channel in North America and the only record label to grace the main stage at Coachella.

88Rising has also accelerated its brand partnerships. A collaboration with Microsoft utilized AI technology to create an ever-evolving remix for artist Warren Hue, responding in real-time to events in 88Rising’s community.

The company has also formed brand partnerships with Toyota and Bose, and has an existing partnership with independent rights management and music publishing company Kobalt.

88Rising counts Horizons Ventures and Atwater Capital among its backers.
