Jeremy Sponder has joined Warner Music Group’s Global Catalog team as Vice President of US Marketing for International Repertoire.
In his new role, Sponder will be responsible for managing US marketing activations for both shallow and deep catalog originating from the UK and other international markets.
Based in New York, he will report to the Global Catalog team’s Vice President of Communications, Lauren Papapietro.
He will also work closely with Katie Graham (Sr. Director, Catalog Development & Marketing) and Stuart Wheeley (VP, Catalog Development & Marketing) as well as their respective content teams.
With over a decade of industry experience, Sponder first joined WMG in 2021, serving as Vice President of Catalog for the company’s independent label and artist services arm ADA Worldwide, where he notably played a key role in strengthening WMG’s relationship with Daft Punk.
Prior to his time with ADA, Sponder was a marketing executive at UMe (Universal Music Group‘s catalog division) where WMG says he “oversaw a roster of deep and shallow catalog content”, looking after artists such as The Rolling Stones, U2, Def Leppard, Tame Impala, and Lana Del Rey, among others.
Before that, Sponder spent nearly five years at The Orchard, helping manage many of the company’s top artists including The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki, Sharon Jones, Death Cab For Cutie, and labels such as Dim Mak, Relapse, Nuclear Blast, Fat Beats, Thrive Records, Captured Tracks, Daptone, and Barsuk.
