15-year-old singer-songwriter Edie Yvonne has become an indie-pop wunderkind over the last 12 months. With her cover of Blind Melon’s track, ‘No Rain,’ she cements her status as one of 2023’s best discoveries.

15-year-old singer/songwriter Edie Yvonna has shared her version of ‘No Rain,’ the iconic alternative-rock song written by Blind Melon and first released in 1992. 

Based in Los Angeles, Edie has already had a seriously impactful music career despite her young age. The artist started 2023 by challenging herself to release a new single each month, as she dabbled in various genres and arrived at a distinctive music style. 

The challenge was successful – with each song release, Edie began to increase her fanbase and generate much buzz from the press and music labels. 

Her recent singles have included the macabre, Halloween-inspired song ‘Darkness Bliss,’ the blissful indie-synth banger ‘Queen Bee,’ and the delicate acoustic-pop number ‘In The Rain.’ Buoyed by some excellent production, Edie’s songs have resonated with critics, while her lyrics – focused on real-world issues that affect people her age – have resonated with thousands of listeners. As 2023 draws close, Edie has shared her final single of the year, a brand-new cover of Blind Melon’s ‘No Rain.’ First released in the early ‘90s, the song quickly became an alt-rock anthem, its lyrics speaking to a generation of people who felt like outsiders and struggled to accept. The music video featuring the iconic ‘Bee Girl’ also became a cultural phenomenon and is still referenced in popular culture today.
